Out & AboutThis peaceful, semi-detached cottage is set in typically attractive Galloway countryside and is extremely well situated for safe local beaches, the nearest being just over a mile away.
It takes its name from Plunton Castle, a sixteenth century ruin on our farm. Cattle and sheep graze the surrounding fields, which afford interesting walks and stunning panoramic views of hills and coastline.
The area is ideal for outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling, fishing and bird watching, and there are several challenging local golf courses within easy reach. A national cycle network route runs through the farm and we are next door to Cream o' Galloway, where home produced ice cream and adventure play are just two of the attractions for all ages.
Being in the heartland of Dumfries and Galloway means we are an ideal base from which to explore all parts of the Region. The local towns of Kirkcudbright and Gatehouse of Fleet are very attractive and full of interest and history.
